Vacia La Nevera !!!

Rubén Morales’ “Vacia la Nevera” contains the spunk and elegance that only an artist truly interested and appreciative of art as a multi-disciplinary form of expression, could so seamlessly achieve. Rubén not only takes a photo of his inspirations, but also take highly accurate mental pictures. His partner, a highly skilled dancer serves as inspiration in the form and shape of his pieces. Beginning as a photographer and moving onto clothing design, Rubén eventually landed close to home – as his family includes many watchmakers.

Rubén manipulates high quality silver with yarn, fabric or wood – an inspiration from his travels and experiences with different cultures.

The name of his line, Vacia La Nevera/Empty the Fridge is symbolic (literally!) of those of us who love to treat ourselves to little artistic mementos, and end up doing so to an extent that…. well, we have an …empty fridge!!!! But, I think I speak for all of us, when I say, sometimes an empty fridge is worth it!

Vacia La Nevera brings dreams, desires, fantasies and feelings into little sculptures that you can carry with you. His work involves constantly researching materials shapes to play with. The fun element in his designs are perpetual and energizing. The love and fun that goes into his designs is easily and effectively seen in these fun pieces.

Rubén also created beautiful custom pieces to support Breast Cancer Awareness : an artist and a humanist at heart.
