AurumEve: high quality or rare materials, combined with craftsmanship, or skilled craftsmanship,  exceptional design or ingenuity expressed in a functional or decorative piece of art to wear or show.

While there are huge social, economic and personal value in particular materials used in a piece, I regard construction, historical value, design and purpose as telling to a piece being true ‘fine jewelry’ regardless of material use or potential profit.
