Five Pieces to light up your Diwali!

Happy Dipawali!!!

Diwali, or Deepavali  – the Festival of Lights is an ancient Hindu festival celebrating the victory of light over darkness, and hope over despair.

Having originated as a Harvest Festival, during this time, prayers are often directed towards Lakshmi – the goddess of Prosperity, for a successful new year. The fireworks signify Rama’s return to his kingdom after a 14 year exile, as well as his defeat of king Ravana.

The date of this special festival changes every year, based on the position of the moon and Hindu lunar calendar. This year, Diwali is being celebrated from today, November 11th through November 15th.

Diwali is celebrated throughout the world, and is an official holiday in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Mauritius,  Guyana, Trinidad, Suriname, Malaysia ,Singapore and Fiji! Diwali is one of my favorite times of the year – wearing traditional dress, fireworks, food, friends and family- the perfect holiday!

We’re so excited about Diwali that we wanted to share some of our favorite pieces to make any night during this festival light up!

Take festive statement earrings to the next level with Manreet’s gold ribbon hoop earrings. Those jhumkas will have no choice but to share the spotlight with these beauties. They have it all: size, lightweight, and that glimmer that can be seen from across the room: an abstract beauty that everyone will be drawn to as much as the fireworks!
